A two-phase
study investigated the teaching of handwriting in elementary schools
and examined the performance of 20 children who had problems with
the mechanical act of handwriting. Results revealed characteristics
(qualitative as well as speed) that differentiated between good
and poor writers. A wide variation regarding handwriting instruction
was found. (CL)
