Despite promising
research findings and enthusiastic participants, multiyear teacher/student
relationships remain uncommon in U.S. schools. The multiyear approach
offers great potential for summertime learning. Ambitious pilot
programs in Attleboro and Worcester, Massachusetts, and West Bloomfield,
