The Maximizing
Academic Growth by Improving Communication (MAGIC) classroom teacher
and speech-language pathologist collaborative intervention program
was developed and implemented in 12 kindergarten and first-grade
classes to determine effects on children. Weekly classroom intervention
resulted in higher scores on listening and writing measures, and
higher abilities in understanding vocabulary. (Author/CR)
